Tamilgar is ruled by the Tu-Ar ‘clan,’ a virtual extended family of orcs and dwarves. The Tu-Ars contract with BlackWind for security, and most of their trade is with the Eastern Trading Company (ETC).
The city is divided into three classes:
Patricians live in Fancytown (partially visible on the left; it is a mansion-suburb).
Plebs live in the middle, and run most of the guilds.
Proles live in the east and northeast side, known as Proletown.
Unofficially, a fourth class are the desert-orc refugees from Dorath, who live in “Dorathi Town” across the Zarza River. They access Tamilgar via the Deek Bridge, or take the ‘Pelet Ferry’ by paying prole fishermen to ferry them across the mouth of the Zarza.
The social organization of the city is clearly shaped by class and affiliation with either Academies (Patricians and Plebs) or Guilds (Plebs and Proles).
