This region gets its name from the outflow of the great Salt River into the Sea of Markaz. It is where three Astarian regions meet: Aqueon in the West, Setaraan to the Northeast, and Cheresta to the East.
In the center is the city of Tamilgar, the main city of the Cheresta agricultural region. It is a major seaport for the bulk sailing freighters of the Eastern Trading Company (ETC)
To the west of Tamilgar is the newly-independent city of Tark, formerly part of the Setaraan Technocratic League. It is the second-largest city in this region after Orthopolis.
